Difference between galvanized sheet and stainless steel

1. Different materials: galvanized sheet is cold rolled steel coated with zinc on the surface, while stainless steel is a kind of alloy steel containing chromium and other alloying elements.

2. Different corrosion resistance: stainless steel has a strong corrosion resistance, while the corrosion resistance of galvanized sheet is lower.

3. Different appearance: the surface of stainless steel is smoother, color metallic luster, while the surface of the galvanized sheet has a silver-gray matte feel.

4. Price difference: generally speaking, the price of stainless steel is higher than galvanized sheet.

Galvanized sheet has the following advantages:

1. Strong corrosion resistance: galvanized sheet has good corrosion resistance and can resist most chemical corrosion.

2. Good processability: galvanized sheet has good processability, easy to cut, form, weld, etc..

3. Long service life: galvanized sheet has a long service life, which can extend the service life of steel sheet.

4. Relatively low price: Compared with stainless steel and other high-grade materials, galvanized sheet price is more affordable.

5. Good abrasion resistance: Because the zinc layer on the surface of the galvanized sheet has good hardness and abrasion resistance, the galvanized sheet can resist mechanical abrasion to a certain extent.

Galvanized sheet is a kind of hot rolled steel strip or cold rolled steel strip after continuous hot dip zinc treatment and the production of steel sheet material, and hot dip zinc can prevent the steel plate from corrosion, play a protective role, so as to increase its service life. According to different processing methods, galvanized steel can be divided into hot-dip galvanized steel, color galvanized steel, electro-galvanized steel, single and double-sided differential galvanized steel, alloyed galvanized steel, stamped painted galvanized steel, alloy galvanized steel and so on.
